The Renegade uses a 12.7-gallon gas tank which builds to the complete fuel efficiency of the vehicle. Because the Renegade is more of a subcompact SUV, the gas tank size leans towards the lower end when it’s next to the full-size SUVs. But the 2021 Renegade’s gas mileage won’t take a dip, with fuel numbers that are tough to beat in any vehicle.
The Renegade has over 310 miles of fuel range equipped with the base engine. The Sport, Jeepster, 80th Anniversary, Freedom, and Islander trim levels of the Renegade have fuel economy numbers of 29 highway MPG and 21 city miles per gallon. Offering some uniqueness, the Trailhawk has 22 city MPG and 27 highway MPG, and the Limited model gets 29 highway miles per gallon and 23 city miles per gallon.
While it varies based on the trim level you have, the Renegade will probably come with a 180 horsepower 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. This 4-cylinder engine is equipped in a majority of the models the Renegade has and features similar gas mileage. There is also an optional 1.3L Turbocharged 4-cylinder engine on the Limited and Trailhawk models which creates 177 horsepower. The Renegade blends the off-road ability that’s part of Jeep vehicles with silky power on the road at the same time.
