Kentucky Derby Winning Trainer To Get a Special Edition Ram 2500 Truck
Ram is the exclusive automotive sponsor of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby for the eighth year, so to honor of the long-term relationship Ram will give a unique 143rd Kentucky Derby edition Ram 2500 Limited truck to the winning horse's trainer. This special, one-of-a-kind truck features a Brilliant Black exterior with a hand-painted rose badge on the front grille and blue Kentucky Derby 143rd logos on the left and right rear panels.
Fans are in for an immersive Ram Truck experience all weekend long. In addition to signage truck displays and giveaways at locations throughout the grounds, a Ram ProMaster van will deliver the Kentucky Oaks "Lilies Garland" Friday morning. Also on Friday, a pink-wrapped Ram 3500 Limited will lead the Kentucky Oaks Survivor Parade of 143 breast and ovarian cancer survivors before the 143rd Longines Kentucky Oaks race. Saturday, a ProMaster van will transport the Kentucky Derby "Roses Garland" to the racetrack from the Kroger store where all of the large floral arrangements are created each year.
Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA – Global, stated in a press release, “Ram trucks are the perfect match for horse owners, trainers and riders, and partnering with America’s premiere racing events is a great way to demonstrate our commitment to these customers. With the longest-lasting pickup trucks on the market and class-leading capabilities, Ram trucks are well-deserving of the ‘Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby’ status."
