FCA July Sales Results Are Reported
FCA US just announced that the company sold 161,477 vehicles in the United States during the month of July in the United States, while it continues to steer focus away from the daily rental fleet segment. Of particular note, three vehicles registered their best-ever July sales performances.
Sales of the Chrysler Pacifica, the most-awarded minivan in both 2016 and 2017, grew 5 percent for the vehicle's best-ever July sales, while sales of the Chrysler 300 blossomed 31 percent in comparison to July 2016.
Dodge saw the Journey and the Viper both improve sales results compared to July 2016, the Durango tallied the model's best July sales numbers since 2011 and the Charger realized a 9 percent sales gain.
Three Jeep® models delivered sales improvements over their respective July 2016 results. The Jeep Grand Cherokee achieved the model's best July sales performance in a dozen years, the Jeep Compass posted its best July sales performance in the vehicle's history and the Jeep Wrangler — the world's most recognizable and capable vehicle — outperformed last July's results.
RAM truck sales improved 7 percent for the month, as the RAM ProMaster City van earned the vehicle's best July sales results in history.
July also saw the Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Challenger and Chrysler Pacifica models all recently receive prestigious quality awards, with both Chrysler and RAM brands scoring highly on customer surveys.
