Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and RAM May Sales Results Announced
Earlier this month, FCA US LLC released the company’s sales results for May 2017, detailing that the company sold a total of 193,040 vehicles across the United States for the month. While these numbers show a slight decrease compared to last year’s May sales, this result was expected as the company keeps to its strategic decision
to reduce sales to the daily rental market.
RAM pickup truck sales increased 16 percent over May 2016 results, as consumers continued to show why RAM enjoys the highest owner loyalty of any half-ton pickup. RAM ProMaster and PRoMaster City van sales grew 18 percent combined for the month.
Five Dodge models posted year-over-year sales increases for May, with the Dodge
Grand Caravan leading the pack with an impressive 58 percent improvement. The Dodge Journey gained 23 percent, and the Dodge Durango and Dodge Viper each realized double-digit percentage increases. Finally, sales of the legendary Dodge Challenger were up 2 percent in May.
Sales of the Jeep Grand Cherokee improved 14 percent over May 2016’s results, while the Jeep Compass saw sales more than double the numbers posted in April as dealers continued to build their vehicle inventories. The Jeep Wrangler attained a 2 percent sales increase for May.
Finally, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica realized its best sales month since it launched a year ago, with sales
skyrocketing 325 percent over May 2016 figures.
